Here is a copy of Walmart's new coupon policy. The best change is that they will now accept competitors coupons for a specific product for a specific price. There are coupons in the Walgreen's paper every week, so if your Walmart accepts them as a competitor this could really benefit you. I recommend taking a copy of the policy with you. With the high turnover rate at retail stores the cashiers are often unfamiliar with the store coupon policy.

I finally went to Kroger today for the mega event. I spent $110.87, and saved $88.30.

Remember, when you are printing coupons from the internet, you can usually use your browsers back button to print a second coupon.

I bought all this (plus two peanut butter eggs) for $2.67!

Here is how:

I bought 4 bottles of Pinesol @ $2 each
I bought 1 bottle of Soft Scrub @ $2.50
I bought 1 gain @ .88 cents
I bought 1 Little Noses @ $3.99
I also bought 2 Reeces peanut butter eggs (.50 each, but they didn't make it home for the picture ;)

I used 4 $1 off Pinesol coupons here.
I used 1 $1 off Softscrub coupon from 3/13 paper.
I used $1 Gain coupon from P&G coupon bok.
I used a Riteaid $3/$15 coupon (for completing the survey on the bottom of the receipt.)

My total out of pocket was $8.67, and I received $6 in UP rewards to be used on my next purchase.

I had lots of errands to run today. Fortunately, all these stores were within a mile of each other.

I started at CVS.

Transaction #2
I purchased Olay eye cream and some candy. I used my ECBs from transaction #1. My out of pocket was less than $1.

My next stop was Walgreens.

Transaction:

Purex fabric softener crystals $4.99 - I used the $2 coupon from today's paper and received a $2 RR, so the actual cost was .99 cents
Renuzit Air Freshening Crystals $3.99 - I used the $3 coupon from today's paper so the cost was .99 cents
Revlon mascara on sale for $4.19 - I used a $1 Walgreens coupon for a final price of $3.19

My next stop was Old Navy. I had printed out two $5/25 coupons this morning, so I was able to save $10 on purchase. Plus, they gave me two 30% off coupons that are good starting tomorrow.

My last stop was Dillards. It is Clinique bonus week. Plus, today only if they were giving out small jars of eye cream.

Now I just need to get my list together for the mega event at Kroger!

Super Doubles at Harris Teeter

Harrris Teeter is doing super doubles from 2/16 at 7am until 2/22. They will double manufacturer coupons with a face value up to $1.98! There is a limit of 20 coupons per customer per day.

This is a great time to stock up on toiletries as well as groceries. I haven't matched up the coupons this time, but here are some of my previous trips during super doubles! If you have several high value coupons it is definitely worth the drive.

I just got off the phone with AT&T to confirm a deal that seemed too good to be true. If you text YES to 11113020 you will receive 1,000 free rollover minutes. Every Sunday I clean the fridge, review what I have in the cabinets, review the weekly sales, match up coupons, and make my menu for the following week. Then I make my shopping list. Menu planning helps me avoid impulse buys at the grocery store because I have a list, and I stick to it. Of course I leave enough room in my budget that if I find in great deals or clearance items I can pick those up too.

Keep in mind, I only list the main dish. I always serve veggies, fruit, and sometimes rolls/biscuits with dinner.

Sunday - Chili and grilled cheese sandwiches
Monday - pork chops
Tuesday - BBQ
Wednesday - lasagna
Thursday - spicy baked chicken
Friday - tacos
Saturday - leftovers

Did you know that you can add coupons directly to your Kroger plus card? My favorite sites are:

Shortcuts
P&G

You have to sign up and register your Kroger card, but then you are able to log in and add coupons directly to your Kroger card, and they are automatically deducted when you purchase the specified item. Many times you will be able to combine the ecoupon with a paper coupon for additional savings!

I love mega events at Kroger! All the items below are part of the mega event. The prices listed reflects the .50 cent per item discount.

Including tax, I spent $5.24!

6 cans of Hunts tomatoes .50 - I used two .45/3 coupons and a $1 ecoupon, so the final price was .03 cents per can!!!
8 Reach toothbrushes $1 each - I used two $3/3 coupons and two .50/1 coupons and a $2 ecoupon, so I got paid $2 to take 8 toothbrushes!
2 I Can't Believe Its Not Butter $1.49 each- I used 2 .75/1 coupons for a final cost of .74 cents each!
All Detergent $2.99 - I used $1 coupon for a final cost of $1.99 (32 loads).
3 Palmolive $1.49 - I used 3 $1 coupons for a final cost of .49 cents each!
